Another Great Night for Plums at League Awards Event

The 2016 Season was rounded off in style at least night's South Nottinghamshire Cricket League's Annual Presentation Evening at Cotgrave Miners' Welfare when Plumtree picked up two teams awards and three individual gongs for efforts in in the summer. Matt Dring's Second XI were there to collect the Divsion B runners-up trophy and will take their place in Division A next season.

Ken Carter's remarkable run of championship wins continues and he and his team were on hand to collect the Division E Championship Trophy and will now take their place in Division D next season, the highest place Third XI in the county.

Two first teamers won individual awards from the Premier League that were also presented last night; Bobby Gamble secured the bowler of the season award for taking 37 wickets at an average of 14.41 each. And Sam Wood marked a fine debut season for the Plumdogs by picking up the all-rounder award for adding 570 runs to his 33 wickets.

And the most impressive award went to Ishy Jandu who picked up the Stewart Hague Young Player of the season award for grabbing 46 wickets across the whole season.
